Following the podcast - show 008 we did on Twitter, (at which point I was not convinced about it) I have since given it a try and really enjoy it now. I am now a Twitter user on a daily basis under the screen name of Engagingbrand.
Microblogging (small blog posts usually under 200 characters) has become part of my life, never saw that one coming!
I have been 'tweeting' by going to the website or by texting from my mobile - but was looking for something that sat on my desktop so that it made it easier to tweet - like Twitterific for Macs. Today I have found Snitter and I like it, I can now
- Write from my desktop rather than having to go to the site
- Have a pop up for new tweets from my friends.
- Design the interface to suit my desktop
- Hit a button on the interface to take me straight to the website if I need to...
I think I am going to like it :) If you are a PC user might be worth a try. Though may have to turn the sound off when everyone gets back from Thanksgiving as it may become irritating...at the moment it is quite soothing.
