I constantly come up against people who say "Oh yeah, but social media is for big companies not us...we are too small and too niche...why would we want to start blogging?"

That is so far from the truth...in fact the more niche you are the better! And here is compelling evidence as to why you should want to start blogging..

A story of a small winery. Dover Canyon Winery was recently highlighted by a Business Week article and quoted as saying “mail-order sales have almost doubled in the past year, and the blog is an inexpensive way to reach the growing number of online buyers.”

So mail order sales have doubled...all for about £75 pa ($150) So what does she write about

"It grew into this place where I could be creative and tell what we're all about," says Baker. Beyond the daily happenings at the 10-acre winery, she posts articles on sulfites and tannin, grilling recipes, news about Paso Robles, and anything else she feels might pique her readers' interest.

You don't have to have a big budget to create customer engagement with your brand...you just need a BIG imagination....
