Show 004 - How to Build a Great Website

Today's show is built around our acronym G.O.O.G.L.E which is about how to build a great website.

Krishna De and Anna Farmery share their learnings and practical advice on how to make your website attract customers. They have an acronoym to help you remember the points

G = Graphics. What is the intention, are they relevant?

O= Offer well written and relevant content

O = Orientation. Make sure the navigation is simple, jargon free and easy to use.

G = Google Analytics to measure what is working, how people are finding you and where they visit on the site.

L= Learn by user testing.

E= Engage through telling stories about the product or service and remember the power of photo's.

We also mention NetMechanic, Typepad, Wordpress, Amazon Bookstore. We also recommend checking out Heather's website to see how she uses video and photo's to engage consumers at Wiggly Wigglers.

If you have any comments or indeed topics then email us at podcast.sisters.googlemail.com. Remember you do not need an iPOD to listen to the show.
