On the last show we talked about how we believe blogging has helped us both personally and professionally. Here are some successes that I believe that blogging has brought me
- Personally. When I left the corporate world my immediate network became smaller, not deliberately but you do lose touch with people. Blogging has brought me a huge support network - expertise, friendship, development. I now have contacts all over the world and no matter the issue I may help with, I seem to now know someone who can help. Invaluable for a small business.
- Professionally. The Engaging Brand blog has been "free marketing" and brought many business contacts to me. Over the next 3 weeks for example I am working with 5 companies, all the contacts contacted me because of the blog.
- Finances. I write 2 blogs for a living. It pays my mortgage which is great but also then expands my network for my day job. Writing blogs is a great way to bring in income while you are building your company.
Tomorrow we are recording a show on how to promote your blog and how to increase your readers. If you have any tips you want me to read on the show then leave a comment. We will be joined by Claire Raikes - The Business Blog Angel - who will share her expertise and learnings on blogging.

This is amazing! I'm sure lots of people at the Women, Business & Blogging conference would like to hear about how blogging enables your business. I wonder if you'd consider running a Birds of a Feather session?
